Welcome back to a new fun and learning experience for this week. It is hard to believe how fast time pass. The end of the school year is around the corner and we are three weeks away from finish it. These blog contains important information.
- Because our fourth graders will be going on a field trip to the MIN on Wednesday, May 9, the MAP tests for us will be moved to Tuesday, May 15.
- We also would like to request parents to please let your child to bring his/her electronics to class, since they are using them for researching on different projects in class. (They will be used for educational purposes only).
This week´s Activities in grade 4
Math: This week we will learn how to find the perimeter of the outline of a shape and the area of the surface of a shape. We will also be able to measure angles in whole number degrees using a protractor.
Reading: This week we will learn about about fables, folktales, myths and legends along with primary and secondary sources for research projects.
Writing: In writing this week we will be integrating our science class on ¨Waves and and Currents¨ where students will be finding similarities and differences using a Venn diagram.
Grammar: This week we´ll be focusing on Antonyms and Synonyms.
Spelling: We will be working on vocabulary words from our science unit and Math as well.
Science: This week in our science labs, students will learn how sound travels through waves.
